OUR VISION

‘The Biggest and Most Successful Commercial Audio Production Company in the UK’

At Get Carter Productions we can only achieve this by helping our clients find better solutions, and become more effective in their communications.

THE TEAM

Matthew Bromham

Managing Driector

The captain with his hand on the tiller, Matthew leads the strategy and implementation of our plans, to ensure success and growth for both us and our clients. When he’s not running the Get Carter ship, Matthew’s often found out on long walks with his faithful friend Woody, who is also our office dog! We can confirm that Woody is easily the most well-behaved member of our team!

Karen Hewitt

Finance Manager

Numbers crunched, spreadsheets bossed – Karen is our finance manager extraordinaire! When the day’s numbers are done, Karen likes nothing more than to let loose on a big night out – most recently she attended her 20th performance of the Rocky Horror Show! And yes, she was dressed up in all the gear!

Graham Bridgewood

Lead Creative Writer

Graham is Carter Productions’ longest serving team member and has been instrumental in shaping the company’s success over 20 plus years. In that time, he has devised and written 1000s of successful radio campaigns for our clients. Although he’s clearly too old, Graham still plays football three evenings a week. So, glory on the pitch leads to stiff legs in the office the next day - don’t expect him to get up too quickly to greet you on your next visit!

Mark Thompson

Head of Production & Music Director

Mark is our lead audio producer, studio manager, chief music composer and producer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist - if there’s a limit to his talents, we haven’t found it yet! When you live on the North-East coast, the lure of the ocean always gets you in the end. Mark is the North-East’s latest amateur surfer and he’s slowly improving with every wave, he tells us!

Ian Johnstone

Head of Despatch

Ian is our chief of logistics and despatch! Give him even the most complex 100+ station mediaplan and he’ll ensure 100% accurate delivery of your commercials on time, every time! With 100s of gigs, many a record fair and 1000s of album purchases under his belt, it’s probably safe to say Ian is a little bit of a music fan! Want to know who the next ‘big thing in music’ is? Ask Ian!

Kathryn Humphreys

Creative Writer & Producer

Reenie brings a double whammy of talent to the team! She’s just as accomplished sitting at her keyboard writing your next brilliant campaign OR at the production desk recording it! By day she’s an audio expert, by night Reenie’s an online video gaming legend. We don’t know Reenie’s gamer tag, but we bet it’s something fierce!

Woody

Head of Barketing

I do all the most important jobs around here: welcoming our lovely clients, barking at strangers who walk past the office and checking in with the team to make sure they’re OK. I like to get in at least 4 hours of snoozing through the workday then I take Matthew for a long walk, so he gets his exercise! Then I like to hang around Ian’s desk around midday to see if he wants to share his lunch! I wonder what tasty treats he’s got today?

Ben Morris

Creative Writer

Ben's been working in Radio Creative for over 25 years, and even though you'd never had known it, you've definitely heard one of his ads on air. From multiple stations for national brands, to tailored digital campaigns, he's an award-winning Creative who's covered a lot of bases. When he's not immersing himself in all things sound and audio, you'll find Ben playing EAFC (very badly) on the Xbox, watching a Marvel movie, or getting very excited about Middlesbrough's last game (T&C apply).

OUR MISSION

We are not afraid to challenge our clients, colleagues or suppliers if it means we arrive at a better brief or a more effective outcome. We are accountable and believe that honesty and collaborative thinking is essential if we are to produce the best work we can.

If we can deliver better and more effective solutions than our competitors we will help our existing clients grow, and we’ll attract new clients when they can see the clear benefits of working with us.

To do this we’re committed to providing the training, facilities and environment to enhance what our team can offer – and encourage innovative, creative and exciting ideas that set us apart.

Finally, we believe that our company exists to enhance the lives of all the people
involved with it. We’re fair in our dealings and reasonable in our demands. We value our relationships and strive to make every transaction a positive one.

If we can succeed in all this we know we can build an organisation that is the pride
of our partners, and the envy of our competition.

OUR HISTORY

Paul Carter formed Get Carter Productions in 2001. He recognised that the UK’s commercial radio model was unsustainable, and needed to reflect the growing number of regional and national advertisers who demanded more accountability from the media.  He believed that an independent and objective commercial production company could better serve these advertisers in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Since then we’ve worked with an impressive number of local, regional and national brands to make their radio investment work harder. Our success is down to the lasting relationships we’ve built with our clients, and our ability to understand and help them achieve their longer-term marketing objectives.
